My experience in music & show business over the past 20 plus years has taught me a great deal about what it takes to be successful in this industry. It ALL starts with YOU and your BELIEF that YOU have the POWER and TALENT to make it. After all, singing is 90% mental 10% physical. When I was a voice professor at Belmont University, I realized just how true this was. Helping my students reach their singing goals increased their confidence, which in turn increased their vocal ability. Incorporating different physical and mental tools with foundational breathing, control and support is part of the process; accessing your story, truth and passion is the other. Being a part of that change inspired me to go back to school and get a second Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling so I could combine therapy and music.
Voice Remedy focuses primarily on the root of anxiety and depression, which often cripples artists and musicians from reaching their full potential.
Depression and anxiety often go hand and hand with singing and performing. Therefore, empowering my clients to confront and understand their fears will increase their ability to perform at their best. My methods include various grounding skills and behavioral therapy which decreases anxiety. Whether you need foundational vocal support, artistry or performing consultation, psychotherapy, studio coaching or assistance dealing with the challenges of success; I will help you conquer your fears and any mental blocks that are standing in the way of you achieving your full potential and finding your true voice.
